Plastic garden fencing is generally less expensive than other garden fencing. It may not be as strong as metal garden fencing but it is very durable and will not rust like metal or rot like wood. Plastic garden fencing also has a seemingly endless number of styles to choose from and can even imitate the appearance of wood.
As mentioned already, one downside of plastic garden fencing is strength. If you have a big dog you need to keep in your yard, you may not want to use a plastic garden fence to enclose your yard although there is very sturdy plastic garden fencing available that could do the trick.
A garden picket fence is a classic choice for garden fencing. It is constructed with vertical wooden boards which are evenly spaced apart and held together usually by two horizontal boards, one connected across the upper portion of the vertical boards and one across the lower portion.
The popular color choice for the garden picket fence is white (white picket fence). The white garden picket fence is a very popular choice because of it’s classic homely look that has been established from being used in home gardens for decades.
Today the garden picket fence has evolved from its original and simple construction from wooden boards. There are so many varieties of the white garden picket fence today from the simple to the elaborate and even the plastic. Although there are beautifully designed white garden picket fences available today, they all still maintain the basic form of the original garden picket fence.
